Winter 2010 Newsletter
Brrr…. if you’re in Sydney, you’ve probably been waking up to frost on your grass & ice on your car over the last week or so (maybe even longer!). Its so cold!!! But these chilly days have mostly been filled with gorgeous blue skies and plenty of sunshine, just perfect for early afternoon shooting! We’ve been flat out shooting lots & lots of families these last few months, and are completely booked out these school holidays. There is lots to share – heres what else is happening with Tiger Lily Photography right now:
OUR FAMILY PHOTOS: Yup, thats right, a week or so ago we had our family photos taken. You can read all about it on today’s blog post, and here is a sneak peak at my favourite photo from the shoot:
TIGER LILY PHOTOGRAPHY WEDDINGS: Wedding enquiries & bookings are still coming in strong 2011 & 2012, and we’ve still got dates available for 2010. Don’t forget, we now also include a ‘coverage only’ package (4 hours coverage with photos provided on disc), along with our Premium package – which includes a gorgeous album, your own private web gallery, a bunch of enlargements, and all edited digital files taken by 2 photographers. Just a reminder that we do travel for weddings too, we’re always at the Hunter Valley, we’ve been to the Blue Mountains, and the below photos was taken at Wollongong, but we’re more than happy to drive a bit further, or jump on a plane, to capture your special day. FREE E-SHOOT: We’ve shot a heap of Engagement / Pre-Wedding shoots over the last few months, and are really excited for a few more that are in the works! Just a reminder, an e-shoot is a 1-2 hour shoot before your wedding, and you can use the photos for a signing frame, personalised guest book, or even a slideshow at your wedding. We’re currently offering this shoot as a no obligation free shoot, so you can ‘try before you buy’. You’ll get an enlargement of your choice from the shoot, and then all the photos on disc, if you decide to go ahead with Tiger Lily Photography to capture your special day. LIFESTYLE PORTRAIT SESSIONS: It looks like the 2nd half of 2010 will be just as busy as the first for Family Portraits, here at Tiger Lily Photography. We’re generally booked out around 2-3 weeks in advance for weekday sessions, and 4 weekends in advance, but there are still a couple of weekend sessions left for July, however August weekends are all but gone! So… we’re taking bookings now for September – its hard to imagine that in about 8 weeks, the days will be longer, and the flowers will start to appear (hello hayfever!).
NEWBORN & MATERNITY SESSIONS: You’ll see a few changes to our newborn session pricing, including a free (optional) maternity / pregnancy shoot with every newborn session thats booked (a beautiful memory to have of your growing belly). As the best time to photograph newborn babies is when they’re still really, really new (ie – less than 2 weeks old), we urge you to please book your newborn photography BEFORE your baby is born, that way we can pencil in a date and confirm as soon as your new bundle of joy has arrived. We’ve found that the absolute best day to photograph bubs is the day AFTER you’ve arrived home from hospital – as the sleep deprivation hasn’t entirely set in just yet, and bubs is still really, really sleepy.
‘A YEAR IN THE LIFE’: We’ve had a terrific response to the new package we’re now offering, ‘A year in the Life’. This package is designed for that first year of life to capture your newborn as they make their way through to toddler. This package is for 4 sessions (+ optional maternity session) and at the end of 12 months, you’ll receive a gorgeous leather coffee table book with 10-15 images from each session (with the option to purchase images after each session). We’ve shot a handful of newborns now, whose mummy & daddy has booked in this session, and are really looking forward to catching up with them every 4 or so months (Oh yea, and we’ve got our hands on some nice new props to use for newborn photos, but sometimes the best props are the ones found at your house….. I think Zara will be as big as the teddy by the end of her ‘Year in the Life’ shoot, in the photo below!)
FATHERS DAY: Fathers day is the first weekend in September – a big congratulations to all the new daddy’s we’ve photographed this year….. mummy’s – why not give one of the ‘dads’ in your life some gorgeous photos of your family this Fathers Day. Book in soon tho, because August is fairly full! 
REFERRALS: A massive public thank you to everyone who has supported Tiger Lily Photography this year (and for the past few years). Most of our clients are people that have been referred to us by other happy clients, and so on and so on. Its amazing to see, and makes us so happy to see you so happy with your photos, that you’re telling people about us. Thank you!
