A big congratulations to Louise & James who celebrate their 2nd wedding anniversary tomorrow!! Their wedding was at Cafe Enzo Peppers Creek at the gorgeous Hunter Valley. And was extra special as Ron McSpooran (Ph: 4950 4224) married them – Ron married Stu & I almost 7 years ago!
Congratulations guys!! xxxx
Verity & Jay are Engaged!!! {Wedding Photographer Sydney}
March 18, 2010 – 4:50 pm
On Monday afternoon I met up with Verity & Jay to chat about their wedding plans, and have a pre-wedding shoot at the location they’ve picked for their wedding photos. Like most couples I shoot, they started with the ‘I don’t take very good photos’ speech, so I shot a few frames, and then showed them this photo through the LCD:
Their smiles then suddenly got bigger
Then they automatically started posing for photos like this:
And this (hubba hubba):
And we got a few with Oscar, the ring-bearer:
Verity & Jay both work crazy / wierd hours – Verity is a trackwork rider, getting up before 4am every morning to ride horses, and then back to bed around 9am, while Jay is a Jockey, riding all over NSW during the week & on weekends. Im guessing they don’t spend too much quality time together, but when they do, its all giggles & kisses:
The future Mr & Mrs!!
These 2 photos got a bit of a smile out of them when they saw the back of the camera too – she’s a hottie, isn’t she, Jay?
It was great to meet you guys on Monday – Verity, im so glad im not a weirdo
Looking forward to seeing you again soon, and shooting your wedding next year! xx
Introducing baby Koby {Sydney Newborn & Family Portrait Photographer}
March 18, 2010 – 10:09 am
Following on from my post from earlier in the week, little Koby made his much anticipated entrance into the world last Monday afternoon. Unfortunately, due to having a sick child, we couldn’t go and visit the new family of 4 in hospital (side note – has anyone ever had a child projectile vomit in maccas – twice. Gross, so gross, and embarrassing!!). So I rocked on around to their house last Tuesday to meet the new little footy player, and to take some photos for Karen & Brett. Here he is, in all his glory:
And with his mummy & daddy:
Up to the bedroom we went, to try and get some classic baby sleeping on the bed, mum and dad looking on, feeling the love in the air, etc – didn’t happen – Hunter is like his dad, likes his food, and would only settle after a full belly. And settle he did, all content in mums arms:
A few photos with Brett and his 2 boys…. I know parents often say how much the baby looks like the older child, they get the newborn photos out, bring them to the hospital to check out the similarities, rah rah rah, but OMG – Koby looks EXACTLY like Jay, seriously, Jay is now 5, a big boy at big school, and I didn’t know him 5 years ago, but far out, I would have picked it a mile off – they’re 2 peas in a pod!
Out the back we go, to take some shots in the fresh air.
The new family – Karen & Brett, with Jay (5 and a bit), and Koby (8 days old).
Thanks for letting me take your photos guys, and a massive welcome to the world to little Koby!! Looking forward to watching our 2 grommets kick a footy together in years to come! Love you all. xx
