The gorgeous Kiana, and her family of 13….!! {Sydney family portrait photographer}

When Kiana contacted me back in July from Macau, to arrange some family portraits when all of the ‘kids’ would be home for Christmas, I thought a) December is just sooooo far away, and b) oh my gosh, I cant wait to meet her! Kiana was another referral from Aimee - her brother (currently living in the US) and Vahan are best mates, and the families have known each other for years and years. Kiana & I have become buddies on facebook, both messaging each other throughout the footy season, trying to out-do each other with our husbands obsession for the parra-eels (I posted photos of Tom in his new Parra PJ’s, Kiana tells me her husband, Nathan, used to play reserve grade for Parra…. You win, Chick :) ) Anyway, December rolled around as it does every year, and we had some stinking hot days, yet the morning Kiana picked for the shoot (the only possible date!), was actually overcast and cooler – perfect for photos! Speaking of which…..

Here is Nathan, Kiana & baby Aiden:

Cambyse & Christina with their kids – Talia & Kian:

Kourosh & Maria with Mikayl:

And the youngest brother, Kav:

(love it!)

Here are the whole clan, with the grand-parents, Zahra and Hossein.

Did you see how cute the kids were? Incase you missed it – here they are again!

Uncle Kav with all the kids!

And Kiana with princess Talia.

It was really lovely to meet all you guys, I hope the Christening went off without a hitch, and you enjoyed your South Coast holiday & Christmas! Enjoy the photos, guys – Kiana, check your in-box for your slideshow….!! xx

Merry Christmas!! {Sydney Wedding & Family Portrait Photographer}

Thanks to all my clients (& friends!) who have helped make 2009 a success. Looking forward to seeing what 2010 has to offer! :)

Merry Christmas to you all! xx

Amanda & Jason are…. Getting Married!!! {Sydney Wedding Photographer}

Amanda contacted me a few months ago to discuss her plans to marry Jason next year. They recognised Louise & James from my website, as they live opposite James’s parents. When I went over to their house to meet with them, I was greeted by a dog that was basically my size – a gorgeous Great Dane called Jemma! I would have loved to have photographed her -  unfortunately the day we met for our e-shoot (last Thursday) was a bit too hot to bring her out – when I arrived at the shoot at 4-30pm, my car temperature was showing 43 degrees…… Im sure there will be another chance to photograph the WHOLE family before the wedding, but in the meantime, here are Amanda & Jason:

(Amanda & Jason said that posing for the camera doesn’t come too naturally for them….. I disagree. They’re gorgeous, the camera loves them! :)

Jason did however, pull some funny faces…. which makes Amanda smile!

So, back to our first meeting, at Amanda & Jasons house, with Jemma wanting a cuddle… and Amanda comes out with the line ‘we’re not even engaged yet’ and im like ‘um, what the?’. Yup she’s planning a wedding without the ring on her finger – you go girl! They’ve got the ring alright, but Jason is just stringing her along…….!! They’ve locked in the date, picked the ceremony & reception venue, a bunch of their friends & family know, Amandas got her girls all lined up, but no ring! Come on Jase!!!

There is Amanda’s smile again! Worth a million bucks!

The rain decided to fall to ease the 43 degrees…. it lasted for about 5 drops :(

This photo is sweet…. we were just walking along, chatting about god knows what (yup, I admit, there was more chatting than shooting with these guys), and Jason just stops and picks a flower and gives it to Amanda. He’s soooo sweet…. he didnt even have to be told to do it. (Well, maybe just a little) :)

Amanda is a Chiropractor – both for people… and for horses! No horses here, but at least we got a ‘barn-thing’ in the photo!

You guys are awesome. I hope you love your photos, but most of all, Amanda, I hope you get some bling for Christmas!! :) See you soon xx

Family portraits for 9!! {Sydney Family Portrait Photographer}

Meet the Hignett’s!!  Michelle (in Purple!) contacted me via e-mail a few months back to organise some Family Portraits over the holiday season – Michelle & Mike were back from Edinburgh for Christmas, and Michelle’s parents, Chris & Bill, were down staying with their other daughter, Karen, her husband Jonathan, and their 3 gorgeous kids. So family portraits for 9 were called for! With kids as young as these ones, and being in the middle of a hot summer, its always hard locking in a time – 8am it was (and the kids did really, really well for the few hours we were together!)

Anyway, here they are….. Mike, Karen, Chris, Eliya (in Nannas arms), Charlie (in Pops arms), Bill, Jonathan, Frederik (on daddy’s shoulders) and Michelle!

8 month old Charlie, what a cutie!

Little Eliya, I think this little munchkin is 2 years old.

And 4 year old Frederik, who was just awesome.

Karen & Jonathan – after 3 kids, the spark is still there! :)

Something a little fun for Michelle & Mike…..

Sisters!

Bill & Chris, so sweet!

Chris told me earlier that the girls used to like picking her up. I think they overhead – they gave each other a wink, and in no-time, Chris was in the air!

The 2 girls and their boys…. ABBA style :)

Have a great Chrissy, guys!!  Enjoy your photos! Michelle – check your in-box! :)

Baby Caitlin, and her gorgeous mummy & big sister!

My friends & blog readers will know that one of my closest friends gave birth to her 2nd baby girl a few weeks ago (hospital photos here), and last week, it was time for baby Caitlins first photo-shoot! She was a good little thing (often I find that the 2nd child is usually an angel – either that, or mum & dad are WAY more relaxed, and have already anticipated the sleepless nights!)

Here is Miss Caitlin, fast asleep:

The gorgeous Lisa with 2 week old Caitlin.

So placid & content…

I have this exact photo from Sophies newborn shoot, almost 2 years ago!

After a few hours, Sophie was happy to smile for the camera….

Jazz hands! Had to share this photo – I remember when Tom would do this, we’d laugh our heads off!!

There was only 1 photo request from Lisa, that we copy the 2nd last photo from Jonah’s newborn shoot back in July:

And I had to end the post with this shot (by the way, Micko, thanks for joining us for the shoot…..!!)

She’s gorgeous, guys, but you already knew that :) Looking forward to many princess & fairy parties in the years to come. Love you all. xx

Vanessa & Rob are Engaged!!! {Wedding Photographer Sydney}

Just 3 days after photographing Elise & Seans wedding back in August this year (and before they’d even seen the photos!!), Vanessa contacted me regarding her wedding in March next year.  She pretty much booked me over the net (which was AWESOME!), but im like ‘I want to meet you, and get together for your e-shoot?!?!?’ (Vanessa & Rob live in Perth). They had planned to come to Sydney to surprise Elise for her birthday, so we organised the e-shoot for the same weekend. Which suited me fine, as I had purchased a few chrissy pressies from WA and needed them shipped to Sydney, he he. Thanks for being my courier, guys! :)

Anyway, we met up last weekend at what was obviously a very, VERY popular spot for photos. I counted something like 3 other e-shoots happening (one was even with a videographer – what the?), a few family portraits, and even a wedding! Nothing could stop Vanessa & Robs love for each other from being on display tho……

The many faces of Ness & Rob!

Show us your bling!

Vanessa & Rob have already made a head start on their family, with gorgeous little Ryley!

A little bit grungy…

It was great to meet you guys, thanks again for being my courier, might buy some more stuff so you can bring it over in March, its not like you’ll have anything else on your mind, ha ha :) Thanks also to Elise & Sean for the referral – looking forward to seeing you again in March!! Lauren xx
