Like everyone in Australia, watching the news on the TV has bought tears to my eyes. The bushfires have been devastating, I don’t think anyone can believe the destruction they have caused, and my heart bleeds thinking of the families that have now been torn apart. Like most people in Australia, I have been wondering what I can do to help (other than donating money myself, and shopping at Coles yesterday.)
Kris Leigh, a talented Newcastle Photographer, came up with the idea to donate the profits from her shoots, to The Australian Red Cross. Like many other photographers, im jumping on the bandwagon and joining in…..
I will be offering 10 x ‘mini-sessions’ during the months of February & March 2009, which will take around 30 minutes, and you’ll be provided with your choice of 10 high-res photos (from approx. 30 photos) on disk. The cost of this mini-session is $100, and are to be be shot at your home, or a mutally convienent location. I can take photographs of you and your family, your kids, even your dog! This special offer is a first come / first served basis, so please e-mail me ASAP to lock in a date, then visit the Australian Red Cross website, donate your $100 session fee via the secure online donations form, send me an electronic copy of your receipt, and get ready to have your photo taken!
Im really hoping that 10 people will take me up on this offer, so together we can raise $1,000 for the victims of Black Saturday.
