Im a mummy!

January 31, 2009 – 4:09 pm

8 days ago, on the 23rd of January, at 10-23am, I became a mummy. Little Thomas James came into this world screaming his lungs out, weighing an impressive 3.98kg, and immediately Stu & I fell in love with him. As you can imagine, I have taken hundreds of photos of Tom so far, but haven’t really had time to download too many (I never could understand when people would say ‘you just don’t have time to eat’ – I never thought that would happen to me, but hey - guess what, there isn’t time for much at all anymore!)

Here is one photo of our litte man I had to share:

10 Minute Maternity Shoot ~ Sydney Maternity Photographer

On the morning after my 5 minute family shoot with Cathy and her beautiful family, I went over to my gorgeous friend Kristie’s house to take a couple of quick photos of her glowing with pregnancy. Its hard to believe that Kristie is due only a few days after me – she is so tiny & compact (and still wearing jeans!), where as I resemble a whale! These photos were taken when I guess she was about 37 weeks (about 10 days ago), meaning little Pita will enter the world very, very soon! Cant wait to meet him or her, guys!

Ah, Kristie, you look absolutely amazing, and I know little Pita will be very loved by you and John. And Im glad we have each other on speed-dial to get thru the next few months….! We’re looking forward to meeting your gorgeous bundle of joy sometime in the next few weeks (and you can meet ours this weekend!).

Yes, thats right, our baby arrives tomorrow morning (so I have about 24 hours of ‘freedom’!) As such, the blog and e-mail will be unattended for about a week, and message bank will be on my phone. I will try and reply to all e-mails the week after next, but can’t promise anything! Apparently having a baby changes your life a little…..!

5 minute Family Shoot ~ Sydney Family Portrait Photographer

January 15, 2009 – 12:00 pm

Last Saturday, we caught up with good friends Cathy, Tim & Lilly Cate. It was a ‘typical’ summers afternoon – girls inside on the computer, boys outside drinking beer, and Lilly running between us asking what we’re doing. The sun dipped down a little, so I grabbed the camera while this gorgeous family of 3 (soon to be 4) relaxed on our day bed. My ankles resembled princess Fiona from Shrek at this late stage in the day, so all photos are taken with me standing at the one spot. Just a quick shoot, but its pretty typical of what to expect at one of my shoots:

Lachlan at 2 weeks old ~ Sydney newborn baby photographer

No – not my baby!! Our friends, Mareta & Glenn, welcomed little Lachlan into the world just before Christmas, and I popped over to their house last week to meet the gorgeous little bundle of joy (and to try and prepare myself for our bub!). Im a bit restricted with my movements at the moment, so didn’t shoot any ‘arty’ photos, just took a few candids for their family album. Have a look:
