The Bracken Family ~ Sydney Child Photographer

When deciding on a location for family portraits, I either let the family in question pick a spot, or I drive around the general area we’ve decided on, the day before the shoot, scouting locations. I could have jumped for joy when I stumbled across Rouse Hill House (yes, I have lived in the Hills area all my life, but didnt even know this place existed!). Gorgeous gardens, rustic barns, magnificient trees, the ‘summer house’ – this place has it all! Then, to top it off, when talking about her kids on the phone that afternoon, Melanie uttered the 3 magic words to a photographers ears: SHES A POSER (talking about 4 year old Chloe. Ah, this shoot was going to be awesome!

Have a look for yourself!

Here is Miss Chloe, adorable!

And here is 6 year old Paige, a little more camera shy than her younger sister!

Mum & Dads turn with the kids now:

This is the historic Rouse Hill House. I plan on going back there for a tour one day to look around inside.

And Mel & Matt

I always try to get a photo of the kids ‘loving’ each other. Paige wasnt too interested, but I managed to get a semi-smile out of her!

Rouse Hill House & Farm was an awesome location for these family portraits, and is open for both wedding ceremonies & wedding location photography – I think it would be a great possie for a Trash the Dress Session too!

Mel, I hope you love your photos as much as I loved taking & editing them. Im sure the grandparents will love their chrissy pressies this year!

Bubbles!! ~ Sydney Family Portrait Photographer

I met the White family 2 weeks ago, on one of the crazy spring days we’ve been having lately (rain, sun, rain, storm, rain, sun – you get the picture!). We were going to head down to the beach for some family photos, but decided to stay in their backyard with the bubble machine… 3 year old Isabella absolutely loves the bubbles, little Oliver wasnt really sure what was going on! Have a look:

We went inside for a while to escape the rain, and I got a few photos of Isabella & Oliver:

Back outside, and onto the trampoline this time!

Annie, I hope you enjoy these photos, and manage to get the Christmas Cards posted before December 1!

Baby Campbell ~ Sydney Newborn Photographer

Last week, I met the most adorable little 2 1/2 week old little boy, called Campbell. My old buddy Graham called me the week before to tell me about his new little bundle of joy, and to see if I could fit them in for newborn photos. Now, ive known Graham for about 9 years, Graham owns GDK Signs at Castle Hill (ph: 9680 7446), and we met when I was working in Real Estate, when I was about 20. Graham was single, I was single, you’d think we would have put 2 and 2 together (no, we didn’t!), but I think our friendship was more about having fun, than anything else. Ah, we had some good times, god you used to make me laugh. Just take a look at him – see what I mean?

Enter Sarah. The perfect match for Graham. Its so beautiful watching these two people together, they just ‘get’ each other. And now they have a perfect little baby to love too. Have a look:

… ‘and smile guys’, one for the grandparents for Christmas!

Sarah & Graham, thank you for allowing me to photograph your new little prince (and letting me have a cuddle!). He is absolutely gorgeous, and Sarah, Im looking forward to lots of coffee’s & chats while we bounce our boys on our laps next year!

The Hoffman Family ~ Sydney Family Portrait Photographer

I have known Leanne for probably about 10 years now thru my good friend Lisa. Gosh, we had some good times together, back in the single, party days!  Every time I flick thru old photo albums, Lea is always there. I think there was a stage there, where the 3 ‘L’s (Lea, Lisa & I), as well as a bunch of others, would go to Rydges on the 1st Friday of the month (yes, month after month….) for karaoke and a boogie! Leanne would always sing ‘You’re so Vain’ by Carly Simmons – ah, those were the days!

Anyway, to cut a long story short (and believe me, I have some tales to tell!), Leanne loved the photos from Lisas recent family shoot so much that she booked me for a session with her gorgeous family. Here is a sneak:

Leanne & Nige. I feel like i’ve known Nige for ever too! Don’t think he ever sang at Karaoke tho!

Ryan will be 6 early next year. He looks like an angel in this photo, but his mum assures me his middle name is TROUBLE!

And this is Ryan giving 4 year old Taylor a big hug!

Mummy & Ryan ‘big smile!”!

And you know its time to call it a day, when this happens!

Thank you Leanne for letting me take these photos of your gorgeous family! And Ryan & Taylor were awesome fun to hang out with for the morning. I cant wait for them to teach our little boy how to do ‘big wees!’ :) I hope you enjoy your first look at the photos, will get them all to you soon!
