Helen & Pete are engaged!! {Sydney Wedding Photographer}

On the Queens Birthday long weekend, I had planned to met with Helen & Pete at Bicentennial Park at Homebush, to have a coffee, a chat about their wedding plans, and then we’d organised to do their pre-wedding shoot. Well, it was such a glorious public holiday that the whole of Sydney had decided to go for a picnic at the park. Im serious. It was chock-a-block packed to the brim, not a parking spot to be had. We ended up at one of the hotels, chatted for AGES (I think we all lost track of the time), and then headed back outside to catch the last of the sun.

Helen & Pete are such a lovely couple, so down to earth and very clearly inlove.  But it wasnt until they warmed up infront of the camera that the TRUE Helen & Pete came out…. have a look:

Pete just has to look at Helen, and she giggles :)

But they can be romantic too.

Pete bought Helen the most amazing engagement ring, its so unique, and looks absolutely gorgeous on her ring finger.

Ok, warming up a little more now, I spy 1 tongue….

I think Pete is singing here (no, he’s not a singer, he’s a chef!)

The only photo Helen really, really wanted.

Ok…..

Helen & Pete being serious…. until she tickled him!

Another romantic moment…

Until…..

Ok, this one was funny – they were just standing there, I took a few more photos, then monkey boy just jumps on the tree and starts swinging away – I was laughing so hard all I got were these 2 photos!

Helen, and that smile she gave me all afternoon. Just gorgeous.

Helen & Pete, it was such a pleasure spending Monday afternoon with you, you guys rock. And your wedding will be just amazing – less than 10 months to go! :)   Looking forward to it. Oh, and check your inbox for more photos of your engagement shoot, and your photo slideshow! :) L. xx

Chantelle & Grant are engaged!! {Wedding Photography, Sydney}

Another wet & windy Sydney winters day….. I met Chantelle & Grant on Monday down at Bradleys Head, Mosman, for some pre-wedding photos.  They told me they weren’t afraid of the rain – they’d seen Erin & Seans engagement photos in the rain in March, but just as we walked down towards the water, we could see the rain coming thru the heads, pelting down, and decided to pull the pin, and go and have a coffee and a ‘dotty cookie’ (did I get that right, Chantelle?) at Mosman instead. An hour later, the rain had all but gone, and we had some lovely late afternoon light down by the water, on Sydney Harbour.

Meet Chantelle & Grant:

Chantelle & Grant are friends of Verity & Jay – Grant & Jay are both jockey’s, and Chantelle & Verity are both horse trainers…… im sensing the world of horse racing & training is just like every other industry – everybody knows everybody :) Anyway, a big thank you to Verity for passing on my details to Chantelle!

(work it)

How gorgeous & inlove are these 2 – im looking forward to their wedding next February.

We went for a little walk around the corner a bit, onto the sand. We lasted for about 2 minutes, as the tide was coming in. And boy, it was coming in.

A little cheeky (get it….)

Grant & Chantelle – the future Mr & Mrs. How cute are these guys?

Back to the water for some fun.

Thanks for coming out in the cold & rain, guys, it was awesome to meet you, and im looking forward to shooting your wedding next year! xx

Sueanne & Clements are (almost) married!! {Wedding Photographer, Sydney}

The ‘uber fabulous’ photographer, Jenny Sun & I have been trying to arrange to catch up over coffee for a while now, and when she suggested meeting for lunch, and then shooting for the afternoon, I was excited! Jenny does a lot of ‘pre-wedding’ shoots in Sydney, (couples flying to Sydney to have wedding portraits taken by Jenny, before their big day), but all I could think of, was this poor girl was going to be wearing a wedding dress, in the unpredictable Sydney weather we’ve been having! :) I think Sueanne did a fantastic job of not getting too ‘goosey’! Here they are, in our gorgeous city of Sydney:

Thanks Jenny for inviting me along, and good luck & congrats to Sueanne & Clements!!

Free Engagement Session {Wedding Photographer}

My wedding packages have included a free ‘E-Session’ for a while now, and for the next few months, Im offering a free Engagement Shoot for any newly engaged couple, who are considering using Tiger Lily Photography to capture their special day.

What is an Engagement Shoot, I hear you ask? Its basically a ‘get to know you’ shoot for future brides & grooms and their photographer. Its a terrific opportunity to work out exactly the style of photography you’d like on your wedding day. And if you’re a little camera shy and dreading the whole idea of ‘wedding photos’ (hello most grooms out there!), this shoot should hopefully put you at ease, so you will be relaxed in front of the camera on the day. A lot of my brides and grooms are also using the images from the shoot for a guest book, or even a signature frame or slideshow at the wedding.

Call or e-mail now to book in your free e-shoot!!

Lauren.

Ps – The Facebook Saga lives on….. 2 weeks now, and I still haven’t been told why I was booted off….. HOWEVER, I have re-joined, and have a brand spanking new Tiger Lily Photography Page, and a new Lauren Walker profile! Look me up!

Melanie & Brad = Still Married {Sydney Wedding Photographer}

Melanie & Brad were married a little while ago in a gorgeous ceremony at  the little old Pitt Town Anglican Community Church, just west of Sydney. Although their initial wedding photos were lovely, they unfortunately didn’t allow enough time for the gorgeous natural portraits that they were after. So, over Easter, we got together for a ‘Day after Session’ – a great opportunity for Melanie to wear her gorgeous dress again!

Here is a sneak peak of the photos.

How gorgeous is Melanie?!

Love this one!

And this one

Children aren’t the only ones allowed to ‘Spin’!

Melanie owns and operates Classic Cakes – check out her cakes!
